Description

In 2014, Chinese government and Mongolian government signed the agreement to build a new joint molecular biology laboratory in the Armono Corporation building in Khan-Uul District, Mongolia. The laboratory was built through the Mongolian Science Park Project, financed by a one million USD grant from the Chinese government and with 350,000 USD in support from the President of Mongolia. ("Mongolia, China launch molecular biology laboratory in Ulaanbaatar") On February 22, 2016, the project was completed. The laboratory enables independent genome, protein, and probiotic research, as well as the study of the nutritional content of food products. At the opening ceremony, the Chinese government granted equipment worth RMB 5 million to the laboratory (captured in #66310).
