Description

On 11 January 2016, the Tongan village of Houma celebrated the completion of the Chinese-funded water supply project in 'Eua. The project includes a new solar pump to bring spring water from Vai ‘a Hina (a spring in the region) up to the 160-meter cliff in the north of 'Eua and then transfer the water to more than 50 houses in Houma village. The project started in mid-October of 2015 and finished one week before Christmas. This project was worth over TOP100,000. The contractor was Mele Anitema Tonga Services. According to the estimate by the engineer, the flow of the spring is 5 liters per second.
