Description

On March 23, 2016, the Chinese government announced their intention to fund the creation of a new road in Fua'amotu in collaboration with Tongan Ministry of Infrastructure and local community in Fua’amotu. China would provide 40,000 Pa’anga for the diesel and professional works for the project. The new road is adjacent to Scenic Hotel near the Fua'amotu airport. The project funded by China in collaboration with Tongan Ministry of Infrastructure and local community in Fua’amotu. It is unclear if this project was ever started or completed.
