China announced on 30 August 2006 that it would send flood relief aid to North Korea, including grain, food, diesel, medicine and medical equipment, According to a press release from the Chinese Embassy in North Korea, this round of donation was delivered by the end of September 2006. One source claims that China provided 50,000 tons of aid.
