Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On August 11, 2015, China donated 230,000 euro worth of rescue equipments to the Macedonian Protection and Rescue Directorate (PRD) or Дирекцијата за заштита и спасување (ДЗС). The equipment included four boats, 300 protective suits, boots and helmets. There were heavy rains and mudslides that hit Macedonian northwestern region, Tetovo, in the early August 2015. The disaster left at least five people dead, and caused material damage. This is also related to Record ID#67270, where Chinese company Sinohydro, which in charge of constructing Kicevo-Ohrid motorway in Macedonia, sent five technicians and equipments immediately after receiving Tetovo local authority's requests for rescue and cleaning the mudslide, which was highly praised by the mayor of Tetovo, according to the ambassador.
