Project narrative

On August 4th and 7th, 2014, China signed the agreement to donate agricultural supplies and fertilizer to Chad. The agreement was signed by Hu Zhiqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Chad. On April 3, 2015, Chinese government delivered fertilizers to the headquarters of the Chad Cotton Company in Mundu, Chad. Hu Zhiqiang and the Minister of Agriculture and Environment Rosina signed the handover certificates on behalf of the two governments. The total amount of the batch of fertilizer is 1,206 tons, including urea and compound fertilizer. It is one of the actions taken by the Chinese government to support the industrial development plan of the four African cotton countries under the framework of the World Trade Organization. This batch of chemical fertilizers is the second batch of aid since 2014 (described in #55848).
