Project narrative

On January 26, 2016, the launching ceremony for the upgrade project for the Kilimani Police Station in Nairobi Kenya was held. The Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, Liu Xianfa, along with Kenyan police chiefs, government officials, and political figures attended the ceremony. The project is expected to cost 500 million Kenyan shillings and will be implemented in two phases, the first of which is the remodeling and upgrade of offices and residential units at a cost of 300 million Kenyan shillings. The second phase is the construction of new housing units at a cost of 200 million Kenyan shillings. As of 2019, the project is still ongoing. The organizations involved in this project include the Kenyan National Police Service, Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Foundation, the Chinese Embassy, and Nairobi County Government. It was also reported that other development partners are involved.
