Project narrative

On December 22, 2015, the official handover ceremony for 5,800 tent supplies for Somali refugees living in Kenya was held in Mombasa, Kenya. The donation came from the Chinese government, which was represented by the Ambassador to Kenya, Liu Xianfa. Kenyan government officials, including Kenyan Deputy Minister of the Interior, Monica Juma, and Mombasa County President Nielsen Mawa attended the ceremony as well. The donation comes as aids to Somali refugees living in Kenya, and the Chinese government donated the supplies at the request of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta. It is a part of promise that Keqiang Li, Chinese Prime Minister made in 2014. The project is complete.
