Description

On December 29, 2015, the Chinese government signed an agreement to grant an additional 1.4 million liters of petroleum worth 10 million Yuan to Nepal. The grant aimed at helping the country cope with the fuel shortages after the devastating earthquake on April 25, 2015. Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal Kamal Thapa secured the grant during his visit in Beijing. Nepal Oil Corporation transported the fuel provided by China from Kerung in Tibet to Kathmandu. This is an additional grant, following a previous donation of 1.2 million liters in October (project 53155).
