Project narrative

On August 26, 2016, Congo (Brazzaville), Ambassador Xia Huang held in the embassy a farewell reception to send off military cadets and students to study and train in China for the 2016-2017 academic year. The recipients include military cadets, students on scholarship from the Chinese government or the Confucius Institute. When President Sassou visited China in July 2016, President Xi Jinping announced that in order to help the Congo with economic and social development, the Chinese side decided to provide more scholarships to the government, from 230 to 300 per year.
