Project narrative

On August 25, 2016, the Chinese Embassy in the Gambia held a farewell reception for 12 Gambian students who are going to study in China under scholarship provided by China. According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there was 41 students accepted into the scholarship program. This is the first group of Gambian students to receive Chinese government scholarship since the resumption of diplomatic relations in March 2016. After completing the language study in China, the 12 students will go to ten universities in China to study undergraduate majors in aeronautical engineering, clinical medicine, mechanical engineering, automation, and civil engineering. The transaction amount is unknown.
