In 2014, the Chinese Government provided a $5,958,061.47 grant to the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo for the People's Palace Rehabilitation Works Project. The purpose of this project was to rehabilitate the People's Palace (Chinese name: 人民宫) in Kinshasa. According to the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Aid Management Platform (AMP), $5,761,682.24 was disbursed in support of this project. The French project title is Travaux de réhabilitation du Palais du Peuple.
