Chinese Government provides $9,411,529 grant for Martyrs Stadium Rehabilitation Works Project (Linked to projects #31415, #58960, and #58962)

In 2014, the Chinese Government provided a $9,411,529.83 grant to the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo for the Martyrs Stadium Rehabilitation Works Project. The purpose of this project was to facilitate the rehabilitation of Martyrs Stadium (Chinese name: 金沙萨烈士体育场) in Kinshasa. According to the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Aid Management Platform (AMP), $9,099,578.80 was disbursed in support of this project as of July 2019. Several other Chinese Government grants were issued in support of Martyrs Stadium, including those recorded in projects #31415, #58960, and #58962. It is also likely that project #58960 provided supplemental funding for this project. The French project title is Travaux de la réhabilitation du Stade des Martyres.
