Project narrative

In a 2017 Performance Report by the Sri Lankan Department of External Resources, it was reported that the Hunan Branch of the Export-Import Bank of China will provide a US$67 million loan for the construction of Kattankudy Waste Water Disposal Project (determined to be also known as Kattankudy Division Sewerage Disposal Project), which will be implemented in 2018. The project will provide sewerage connections for Baticolao municipal council area and Kattankudy DS division area will be covered. A 50km collection network and 10,500m3/day wastewater treatment plant will be constructed. The total project cost will be $92.8 million.
