Project narrative

In 2017, the Chinese Ambassador in Sri Lanka donated 100 thousand yuan to the Sri Lanka Ministry of Education for a "Chinese Ambassador Scholarship". 18 Sri Lankan students were awarded the full Chinese government scholarship this year, although 55 total students benefited. The awards ceremony was held at the Chinese Embassy on 2 August with the attendance of Ambassador Yi Xianliang, Mr. Madhawa Dewasurendra, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Higher Education and Highways and family members of the winners.
