Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On April 20, 2015, the Chinese Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide an RMB 20 million grant to the Government of Pakistan to address climate change in the Gwadar Region. On December 29, 2016, a supplementary agreement was signed, committing the grant agreement to Pakistan. The project has almost likely entered implementation since its RMB 20 million value is listed the 'utilized' rather than 'unutilized' column of a table of Chinese Government grant-financed projects published by Government of Pakistan's Economic Affairs Division.
