Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

In August 2016, the Chinese embassy and the Kazakhstan Diplomatic Service jointly launched "Quick Chinese", a service meant to help Kazakhs learn Chinese, and promote academic exchanges between Chinese and Kazakh universities. This long-term initiative is meant to encourage stronger Chinese-Kazakh ties, as President Nazabayev encouraged stronger cultural ties between both nations as China continues to expand BRI. In 2018, the service was expanded as the Chinese Embassy provided Eurasian National University and Zhas Ulan Republican School with "Chinese Langauge" classrooms, equipped with textbooks, computers and software to facilitate learning in Chinese.
