Project narrative

In 2012, China Development Bank agreed to loan Uzbekistan's Uzbek Telecom (Uzbektelecom) $107.6 million for the purpose of network expansion, developing the CDMA-450 mobile network, and implementation of FTTx fiber technology. The funds were sent in the second quarter of 2013, with which Uzbektelecom was expected to purchase implementation technology. These funds were also earmarked for overall network expansion and infrastructure improvements This project is linked to Record ID#53952. Only the confirmed costs for developing the CDMA-450 mobile network - US$18.19 million and implementing FTTx fiber technology US$9.01 million is recorded for this project. The project is also mentioned in China EXIM Bank annual report for 2016 ; it is unclear how or whether China EXIM is financially involved. This project is linked to Record ID#40324, which describes $100 million USD loan from CDB to Uzbektelecom for the CDMA-450 network in 2014.
