Project narrative

In November 2017, it was reported that China's Export-Import Bank pledged to loan $240 million to Uzbekhydroenergo for a hydropower plant on the Pskem River in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, Uzbekistan. The plant will cost a total of $800 million USD, with remaining other funding coming from Uzbekistan. Loan details are unknown. Design and survey works for the project began in mid-2017. The projected capacity of the plant will be 400 MW with an average annual output of 900 million kWh.
