Project narrative

In 2008, the Chinese Government provided a $1 million loan to the Government of Uzbekistan for the improvement of the wastewater treatment system of Samarkand. The total investment for the project was $1.1 million. The treatment plant's reconstruction was completed at the end of 2017 after starting in 2009.
