Project narrative

In 2008, the Chinese Government provided a $1 million loan to the Government of Uzbekistan for the improvement of the wastewater treatment system of Samarkand. The total investment for the project was $1.1 million. The project was approved on August 4, 2009 with construction starting on September 30, 2013. The project was completed on November 30, 2021.
