On September 12, 2008, China Eximbank and the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan signed a $2.1 million loan agreement for the rehabilitation Raish Khakent-1 (or RaishKhakent-1) pumping station located within the Andijan oblast. This loan carried the following terms: 15 year maturity, 5 year grace period, 3% interest rate, 0.3% management fee, and 0.3% commitment. National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan use the proceeds of this loan to on-lend to an unidentified entity at a 3.2% interest rate. China National Electric Equipment Corporation (CNEEC) was the contractor responsible for project implementation. According to the President's office source, the project had a set completion date of October 1, 2010. This project was reportedly completed in 2010. This project is linked to a loan for Raish Khakent-2 in 2014 (captured in #72138).
