Description

In the first half of 2015, China sent Antigua & Barbuda an 8 member Ophthalmologist Medical Team to carry out a Cataract Surgery Clinic through an initiative called Bright Journey. The team will stay for one month carrying out surgical procedures at the Mount St. John's Medical Center and will donate all surgical equipment after completion. According to the Antiguan Observer article, over 200 cataract surgeries have been completed as a result of this initiative. In 2018, the "Bright Journey" team returned to Antigua and Barbuda, which was captured in #54943.
