Project narrative

On July 18, 1991, the Chinese Government signed an agreement with Antigua & Barbuda to provide a $5.5 million USD loan for the Multi-Purpose Cultural Centre at Perry Bay Project (see Record ID#54915). The loan was originally due July 31, 2011 (a maturity period of 20 years); however, the repayment date was rescheduled to July 31, 2026 (a maturity period of 35 years). The repayment period of the rescheduled loan commenced on August 1, 2016.
