Project narrative

On November 5, 2018, Costa Rica's Ministry of Public Security and the People's Republic of China signed a grant agreement worth ₡ 3,378,046,534. The grant proceeds were to be used by Costa Rica's Ministry of Public Security to purchase telecommunications and police protection equipment. The donation was originally expected to be delivered during the first half of 2019.
