Project narrative

In 2014, China agreed to provide water measurement equipment to Cuba for an aqueduct network project in the provincial capitals. The agreement was signed between Gao Hucheng, Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Minister of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment. On 26 August, 2016, during the twenty-eighth session of the Intergovernmental Commission Cuba-China for economic and commercial relations, Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and Zhang Xiangchen, Vice President of International Trade Negotiations of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, signed an act of delivery and reception of three projects successfully executed between both parties: the supply of water measurement equipment, Phase II of the Digital Television Deployment Project, and the supply of sanitation equipment for the capital. The first of these three completed projects reflects the 2014 agreement described above.
