Project narrative

On 30 October, 2015, the Chinese Government agreed to provide a grant to the Government of Cuba for the Water Supply System Improvement Project. The grant proceeds were used to purchase equipment for the improvement of the water supply system. This grant may be a part of a 36 million USD grant from the Chinese government to Cuba in 2018 (#64265) ; The value of the grant is unknown. China General Technology was the contractor responsible for project implementation. It delivered a batch of water supply equipment on 14 December, 2017. The formal project handover ceremony for this project took place on 16 March, 2018.
