Project narrative

In November 2014, a China-Cuba biotechnology industry base was set up in Wuhan National Bioindustry Base (also known as Biolake). The project has a total investment of 500 million yuan. After completion, it is expected to produce 60 million liquid preparations, 600 million tablets, 600 million capsules, and high-end APIs.500 kg annually. The exact Chinese investment amount is unknown. This project is supported by Hubei Province.
