China held Overseas Seminar on Modern Agriculture for Grenadians in 2018 (Linked to Record ID#54764)

Project narrative

In 2018, the Chinese government held the "2018 Grenada Modern Agricultural Development Overseas Training Course" of the Overseas Human Resources Training Seminar in Grenada. The seminar will provide students with an understanding of the new trends in world agricultural economic management, learning about China's modern agricultural economic management, new agricultural technologies, new models of economic management, etc. The seminar will be implemented by Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Industries Demonstration Zone (杨凌示范区国际交流中心). Chinese Ambassador Zhao Yongchen attended the launching ceremony of the training on August 28, 2018. The seminar was closed on September 17, 2018. A closing ceremony was held in St. George, the capital of Grenada. Yang Shijun, Political Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Grenada, Murray, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land of Grenada, and representatives of the Ministry of Public Affairs of Grenada attended the closing ceremony. This project falls under the framework China-Aided Grenada Agricultural Technology Cooperation Project (aka Granada Agricultural Technical Cooperation Project) that was started in 2005, which aims to share agricultural technology and knowledge between China and Grenada (Record ID#54764).
