Project narrative

On June 23 2016, China and Uruguay signed the agreement to build a Confucius Institute in Uruguay. This institute was co-established by the University of Republic (Uruguay) and Qingdao University (China). On 29 November 2017, China inaugurated the first Confucius Institute in Uruguay at the University of the Republic (Universidad de la República).
