On September 18, 2017, a ceremony attended by Wang Wei (the Chinese ambassador in Sao Tome) was held to hand over supplies — including anti-malaria drugs and sophisticated medial equipment like microscopes, intelligent mosquito detectors, automatic microplate readers, and medical cryogenic refrigerators — to the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe to support an anti-malarial campaign in Água Grande District and Mé-Zóchi District.
