Project narrative

Since 1997, Hubei Province has been sending medical teams to Lesotho. On September 29, 2017, the Chinese Government and the Government of Lesotho signed a protocol agreement, dispatching the 12th Chinese medical team (第十二批医疗队) to Lesotho. The team was stationed at Motebang Hospital, which is located on Mandela Road in the town of Hlotse within Leribe District. The 8-member team completed its term of service between October 13, 2017 and October 15, 2018. It treated 20,000 patients, conducted 1000 operations, and organized 4 clinics in remote areas. It also donated medical equipment worth LSL 370,000 (captured in #56630).
