Project narrative

In 2015, the Chinese Government provided a grant worth 1 billion CFA francs to the Government of Comoros for a Water Well Drilling Project. The project involved solar-powered drilling of water wells and the installation of solar-powered water pumps in 26 kindergartens and social centers in 16 cities. China Geo-Engineering Corporation International Ltd. was responsible for the construction. On May 15, 2015, China’s Ambassador to Chad, Hu Zhiqiang, attended a project commencement ceremony. Then, on September 28, 2016, Ambassador Wu Jie and the Minister of Women, Family and National Unity of Chad signed the project handover certificate.
