The donated scanners were to be used at Guyana National Industrial Company Inc. Port in Georgetown with abaggage scanner was also successfully installed in the new customs area of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA). Project narrative

In 2017, the Chinese Government agreed to donate several scanners to the Government of Guyana. On July 16, 2018, Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) officially launched a new container scanner site at the corner of Sussex and Lombard Street as part of Guyana National Industrial Company Inc. Portin Georgetown. Another mobile scanner was due to arrive in November 2018, with installation taking place at the end of December 2018. A baggage scanner was also successfully installed in the new customs area of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
