Project narrative

On June 12, 2006, the Chinese Government and the Government of Suriname signed a grant agreement for the construction of an auxiliary office building for Suriname's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (BUZA). The value of the grant is unknown. A design contract was signed in February 2007. Weihai International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co. Ltd. was the contractor responsible for project implementation. This project was completed and handed over to the authorities on February 11, 2016.

The Chinese project title is 时办公用房项目. The Dutch name of the project is "Uitbreiding HQbuza." One of the original sources is a broken link but it is recoverable via archive.org (wayback machine). The source is partially in Dutch and partially in English.
