Project narrative

On January 15, 2015, Subei People's Hospital based in Jiangsu Province, China, signed a friendship agreement with Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) in Guyana to foster cooperation particularly related to surgery. According to the terms of this agreement, Subei People's Hospital committed to donating medical equipment to GPHC. This equipment worth GYD 3.2 million was officially handed over to the Guyana side on April 8, 2016. The donation included five patient monitors for use in the hospital's intensive care unit (ICU) and the recovery of the hospital's operating room as cardiac, respiratory, neurological, blood glucose, childbirth, and body temperature monitoring tools.
