Project narrative

According to Chinese Ambassador Liu Quan in a speech on August 28, 2018, China will send 400 Surinamese trainees to China in 2018. The trainees were a part of 5 bilateral training programs in the following fields: diplomacy, mushroom cultivation, governance, industrial park creation, and police training. This project is linked to a scholarship project in 2018 in which China sent 10-13 Surinamese students to study in China (#56505). With regard to the police training category, the Chinese embassy arranged for Surinamese police training to strengthen law enforcement in early 2017. The agreement was signed in conjunction with the donation of 2 police vans (#56298) and 30 bulletproof vests (#56253).
