Description
On 6 June 2011, the Chinese Government reportedly loaned 22 milion Sudanese pounds to Gezira (or Al Jazirah) State for a second water supply project. The loan terms are unknown. The first water supply project is captured in Project #208. The loan proceeds were supposed to be used for drilling wells, buying pumps and generators, and installing water pipelines. This project was expected to reach completion in July 2011.
