Project narrative

In February 2009, Nantong Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. began construction on two rural schools located in Sinkat Town, Red Sea State and an unspecified town in North Kordofan State. The Chinese Government committed to financed this project with a grant of an unknown value at an unknown time. Construction ended towards the close of 2009 and the official handover ceremony took place on 20 May 2010. These schools were built as part of a program to build 100 rural schools in Africa, initiated at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

The Chinese project title is 援苏丹两所农村学校项目 or 援苏丹两所农村学校位于苏丹红海州辛卡特镇和北科尔多凡州胡维镇项目. Apparently source ID 67722 says that the Red Sea State School in Sinkat was RMB 5 million.
