On November 15, 2018, the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius donated 28 projectors, 28 printers, and 8 laptops to Mauritian primary schools to aid Mandarin language courses and promote Chinese culture. The projectors and printers will be distributed to 15 primary schools, while the laptops will be used by officers of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education, and Scientific Research. The ceremony was attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Mauritius, Mr. Sun Gongyi, and the Minister of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research, Hon Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun.
