On September 21, 2012, 19 Chinese-funded companies in Chad provided donations to Chad's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dou Lirong, the general manager of CNPC International (Chad) Co., Ltd., submitted a check for 51 million CFA francs (about USD100,000) Chad's Minister of Social Action, Family and National Solidarity of Chad, Fatima Isa Ramadhan. The donation was made up of contributions from several different sources, though it was given by CNPC.
