Description

The Chinese Government granted $12 million USD (approximately 8 billion RWF) to Rwanda for the construction of the Masaka-Kabuga Municipal Road Project. This 6.36 km road is located in Kicukiro (a suburb of Kigali) and its connects the districts of Masaka and Kabuga. The project was implemented by China Jiang'xi Zhongmei Engineering Group Ltd. On April 17, 2014, construction began. The project was expected to reach completion after 14 months. On September 22, 2015, the Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda held a ceremony to hand over the completed Masaka-Kabuga municipal road.

The Chinese name for this project is '马萨卡-卡布噶市政道路” or "卢安达卡布加-马萨卡公路'. The commitment date for this project is unknown.
