Description

In 2008, the Chinese Government provided a grant for the construction of Touveil Primary School in the Arafat district within the city of Nouakchott. The school covers an area of more than 5,000 square meters. It is attended by 288 students including 150 girls. China National Complete Plant Import Export Corporation (Complant) was the contractor responsible for implementation. Construction started in December 2008 and completed in July 2009. The Chinese Government has also donated supplies to this school on multiple occasions (see Project ID#56876 and #57254).

Additional details

The Chinese project title is 阿拉法特小学 or 阿拉法特小学 or 毛希望小学. The French project title is l'école Touveil.
