Description

On August 25, 2017, the Chinese Embassy in the Gambia hosted a reception for the 30 Gambian students who received Chinese government scholarships. During this reception, Chinese Ambassador to the Gambia Zhang Jiming congratulated the 30 Gambian students who received these scholarships. Fourteen of the students received scholarships for undergraduate degrees, while the other 16 students received scholarships for masters programs. The areas of education include engineering, tourism and hotel management, medicine, finance, education, public management/diplomacy, and agriculture (Chinese Embassy in Gambia). The scholarship's aid from China to the Gambia is planned to be yearly. The amount of and source of funding of these scholarships is unclear. This project is completed.
