Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On December 11, 2014, the Chinese Government donated two sets of container inspection equipment to the Government of Mauritania. The equipment was reportedly set aside for use at the PK55 border station near Roseau and Nouadhibou. The Chinese Government also agreed to provide 'follow-up training and maintenance' related to the inspection equipment. The monetary value of the donation is unknown. However, it is known that the grant funds for this project were drawn from an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) signed by the Chinese Government and the Government of Mauritania on December 12, 2013 (see Record ID#56833).
