On April 9, 2012, the Chinese Embassy donated school supplies, computer equipment, agricultural equipment, school clothes and school bags to Touveil Primary School in the Arafat district within the city of Nouakchott. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. The Touveil Primary School was constructed with a grant from the Chinese government in 2008 along with one other primary school (see Project ID#56879).
