From April 5-29, 2017, the China Electronic Engineering Design Institute completed a feasibility study for the Mauritania City Safety and Monitoring System project. According to the China Government Procurement Network (CCGP), bidding for implementing the project closed on April 20th, 2020. The project officially started implementation May 4, 2021, and completed December 6, 2022.
