Description

On January 24, 2018, the Chinese Government donated $314,000 USD (approximately 2 million RMB at 2018 exchange rate) to Zambia to combat the cholera outbreak that began in 2017. The donation ceremony was held at the Zambian Ministry of Health in Lusaka. The Chinese Ambassador also signed an agreement with the Zambian authorities towards cooperation in fighting cholera. In order to combat the cholera outbreak that began in Zambia in 2017, Chinese companies and the Chinese Government have donated numerous rounds of relief funding and materials: ProjectID#66621 captures AVIC International's donation of 100,000 Kwacha. ProjectID#66622 captures the Chinese Embassy's donation of 50,000 Kwacha. ProjectID#66623 captures AVIC International's donation of 40,000 Kwacha. ProjectID#88377 captures PowerChina's donation of supplies to fight the cholera epidemic.
