Project narrative

On June 19, 2017, He Ping, editor-in-chief of China's Xinhua News Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) Agency's President Lotfi Arfaoui to establish a framework for cooperation between the two companies on the National Album Project. The eight-article memorandum lasts until June 19, 2019. The project will allow TAP to use Chinese experience to digitize its 1.5 million photo archive to create an album of historical photos.
