Project narrative

In August 2017, the Chinese Embassy in Gambia and the Gambia’s Ministry of Forestry, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources helped to plant over 2,000 coconut seedlings alongside villagers on the west coast of Gambia near the Tumani Tenda Village. Chinese Ambassador to Gambia Zhang Jiming was present at the planting. The event was part of a broader Gambia-China Coconut Tree Planting Initiative.
